Your Role

As an experienced HR Generalist you will be involved with all aspects of Human Resources in the New York office.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with HR team on employee relations, recruiting, learning and professional development programs
  • Counsel managers and leaders on human resources issues, providing insight and options compliant with legislation and consistent with Gensler philosophies, policies and culture
  • Investigate, document and resolve employee relations issues
  • Coach managers in workforce planning, recruiting and staffing
  • Manage employee initial evaluation process
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Talent Development Specialist in rolling out development and learning programs, including our annual PDP program, and ensure programs are successful
  • Involvement in staffing and other operational functions within the office/region as appropriate
  • Manage recruitment for administrative positions
  • Oversee Studio Coordinators and Administrative Assistants
  • Understand all Gensler policies and ensure compliance within the office
  • Adhere to all EEO/AAP tracking requirements
  • Handle and ensure all immigration and visa requests are handled appropriately
  • Maintain clear concise documentation when dealing with sensitive issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources and 10+ years of experience, architecture or professional services firm experience preferred
  • PHR/SPHR/GPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Expert in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
