Principal Payroll Technologist - Conversion (ADP/Workday)

Raytheon Technologies is in the process of implementing Workday as the global HR system and ADP as the global payroll provider.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be part of the global HR transformation. The rollouts commenced in 2014, with 54 countries now live in Workday.
As part of a merger of equals between Raytheon and United Technologies Corp, the organization is currently engaged in efforts to migrate legacy Raytheon employees into Workday & ADP.


The successful individual will be a conversions lead on the global HR/Payroll project responsible for driving and executing Workday conversions for the merger.
This will require working with a core team of conversions resources from our implementation partners, and coordinating the conversion requirements across HR & Payroll.
Given the centralized nature of the conversions team, the role will need to partner with the various teams and functions HR, Payroll, Compensation, and various parts of the Digital Technology organization.



This position can be a salary grade level G09 (Principal HRIS Technologist) or G10 (Manager I HRIS) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position.





Job Description


+ Lead data conversion for Raytheon Technologies merger project. This will require managing Deloitte data conversions resources, Maseke data conversions resources, and the end to end process for each legacy Raytheon business unit.


+ Partnering with our conversion vendors and business partners, identify opportunities in the overall project methodology for technical or process improvements to facilitate mistake proofed data quality.


+ Oversee the Workday/ADP conversion schedule.
Communicate and work with HR, Payroll and Digital leadership teams accordingly to manage resource and system constraints, while supporting the project timeline goals.


+ In addition to process and system improvements, develop strong relationships with other members of the HR Digital team, and the HR and Payroll teams to facilitate data conversion deliverables.


+ Provide innovative technology solutions for the overall system landscape & architecture.


+ Develop project management, communication, Workday functional, technical and conversion expertise through on the job training and coaching.


+ Work with ADP, Workday and other partners to explore additional opportunities/value that can be provided to RTX through investments already made.
Drive RTX needs into their product design.


+ Work with HR, Payroll, and Digital technology workstreams to integrate conversion plans and data validation efforts into overall program cutover plans.




Required Skills:

Minimum 8+ years experience in HRIS, payroll conversion or related expereince and a Bachelors degree


+ Ability to work in a highly matrix organization and lead project team members across the globe and vendors to meet the conversion timelines and deliverables.


+ Proven experience and comfortable in managing multiple priorities and relationships with stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet critical business needs and timelines.


+ Deep technical capability and ability to drive technical conversations and changes aligned with project and digital technology goals.


+ Action oriented and results driven with an ability to drive new and innovative solutions in alignment to the organizations / functions strategy.


+ Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with multiple levels in the organization.
Speak to conversion and data at the lowest level of detail and also summarize for leadership consumption and action.




Desired Skills:


+ Workday and/or conversion experience on large system implementations is preferred.


+ Technical knowledge and ability to perform Workday field level configuration and business process configuration.




Education Requirements:




+ Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline
